Which Football Team In Mexico Is The Best

Mexico has a rich history of football stretching back even before the founding of the professional league in 1943. The debate over which Mexican club team is the greatest is as fierce and partisan as in any major football crazy country. I have traded a few Mexican games on Betfair using this lay the draw strategy but there is generally not enough liquidity to exit the trade either for a profit or a loss.

Statistically, CD Guadalajara has to be the greatest club in Mexican history. They’ve won 11 league titles and a large number of domestic cup competitions. This record is more impressive considering they are the only major team that fields only players of Mexican nationality. Other notable title winners include Toluca and Club América with 10 each, and Cruz Azul with 8.Additional information can be found at http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/114/mexico/2012/06/06/3153621/report-alessandro-del-piero-being-offered-to-mexican-clubs. Over recent seasons there has been much greater parity with five teams winning the last five tournaments.

Only two of the original members of the first division have never been relegated, América and Guadalajara. Other teams with long runs in the top flight include Toluca, Cruz Azul, Pumas and Monterrey, the first three having never been relegated since gaining promotion.

One thing is certain, the teams in the Golden Cage offer up attractive, exciting football on a regular basis. With so many good teams to choose from, the argument as to which is the greatest won’t end soon!
